Green Mine, located in the province of Sichuan, was the largest mining site in China in 2021 based on production, which amounted to more than 62 million metric tons of Run-of-Mine (ROM). ROM refers to ore in its natural, unprocessed state. The remaining top five major mines in the country as of 2021 were situated in Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia.
