The share of companies with a defined Industry 4.0 strategy and its ongoing implementation in Slovakia fluctuated in the observed period. While in 2017, only 19 percent of companies defined and implemented this strategy, this figure rose to 40 percent in 2019. However, it dropped continuously to 23 percent by 2022 before rising again in 2023 to 27 percent. According to the source, in 2019, the companies were very optimistic, but with further knowledge of digitalization principles, the latest results seem to be nearing reality.
