As of June 2023, Amistad Wind Farm was the largest onshore wind power plant operating in Mexico with a capacity of 871 gigawatts. This big onshore wind project is located in the state of Coahuila, but other major wind farms in the North American country are situated in states like Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon and Oaxaca.
