The Egyptian startup scene secured 143 funding deals, with a value of almost 766.69 million U.S. dollars in 2022. This was higher than the previous year in terms of funding value, when startups in the country raised close to 606.79 million U.S. dollars. However, the number of deals closed was highest in 2021 in the observed period. Furthermore, the funding received in both years was significantly higher compared to 2020 at 85.38 million U.S. dollars and 113 deals.
