According to a survey conducted between March and April 2022, about three out of four respondents in the Asia-Pacific region chose bill payments as a reason for using digital payments in 2022. Meanwhile, 53 percent of the surveyed consumers in the region selected opening and funding a new bank account as a reason for using digital payment services as of April 2022.
