The share of bank account holders who could imagine dealing with their financial transactions exclusively online decreased notably in Austria between 2018 and 2024. According to Statista's Consumer Insights, almost every second bank account holder found it possible to deal with their finances exclusively online in 2018. In the second quarter of 2024, however, a third of the respondents indicated the same attitude toward online financial transactions.
