According to Statista's Consumer Insights, 21 percent of the bank account holders found it possible to deal with their finances exclusively through their smartphones in 2018. The share of respondents with the same attitude towards mobile financial transactions increased to 25 percent in the second quarter of 2024. This was lower than in 2020 and 2021, when even more customers believed in banking exclusively via mobile phones.
