Branch banking remained a popular method to process banking batters in Italy in 2024. According to Statista's Consumer Insights, the share of bank account holders who processed banking affairs in person in a branch was 49 percent in the third quarter of 2024, four percentage points lower than in the first half of 2019. Despite almost half of all respondents banking in person, both mobile and online banking were more common in 2024.
