When asked about their main reason for making unplanned purchases online, 43 percent of global Gen Z shoppers mentioned wanting to take advantage of sales and deals. Meanwhile, 39 percent said wanting to treat or reward themselves. The third prominent factors were the excitement of discovering new items and the convenience of the online checkout process, each cited by 37 percent of Gen Z participants.
