The share of bank account holders in Brazil who could imagine dealing with their financial transactions exclusively via their mobile phones decreased in recent years and fell below 50 percent in the third quarter of 2023. According to Statista's Consumer Insights, 46 percent of the bank account holders found it possible to deal with their finances exclusively through their smartphones in the third quarter of 2024. This was below the share of respondents with the same attitude between 2020 and 2022, but still higher than in most other countries. In the United Kingdom, for instance, only 30 percent of the bank account holders had the same attitude towards mobile banking.
