Processes in banking affairs in Brazil 2024
Mobile banking was by far the most popular method to process banking matters among bank account holders in Brazil in the third quarter of 2024. According to Statista's Consumer Insights, the share of respondents who processed banking matters via smartphone or tablet was 73 percent. Dealing with banking matters in person in a branch was the second most common method, but the gap between mobile and branch banking was large. Mobile banking usage dropped slightly in recent years but remained exceptionally high nevertheless between 2020 and 2024.
