In Switzerland, online stores selling leather goods and shoes were the ones sharing most information about sustainability, a 2022 study showed. 60 percent of these stores have information on sustainability goals and 40 percent of them published sustainability reports online, whereas none of them offered carbon offsetting transport or purchase options.
In turn, 18 percent of food and beverages and clothing online stores partnered with couriers offering transport services with carbon compensation.
