The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) was signed in 2021. It aims to make major investments in U.S. broadband, transportation, and energy infrastructure. The legislation designates around 21.6 billion U.S. dollars for projects relating to clean energy and power. Within this funding area, around 11.29 billion U.S. dollars are allocated for the Abandoned Mine Reclamation Fund. An additional 4.67 billion is allocated to Orphaned Well Site Plugging, Remediation, and Restoration.
