Distribution channels for bicycles in Germany 2023

German bicycle buyers continued to prefer the in-store experience over online bike purchases in 2023. 74 percent of bikes were sold in stationary specialist shops, while only a quarter of bikes were bought online from online specialist retailers or internet-only suppliers.
