The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) was signed in 2021. It aims to make major investments in U.S. broadband, transportation, and energy infrastructure. The legislation designates around 16.67 billion U.S. dollars to ports and waterways. Within this funding area, around four billion U.S. dollars are allocated Corps of Engineers Operation and Maintenance. An additional 2.5 billion is allocated for Inland Waterways Projects.
