The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) was signed in 2021. It aims to make major investments in U.S. broadband, transportation, and energy infrastructure. The legislation designates around 84.59 billion U.S. dollars for public transport, the second largest spending category in the BIL. Within this funding area, around 33.39 billion U.S. dollars is allocated to Urbanized Area Formula Grants. An additional 1.75 billion is allocated for the All Stations Accessibility Program.
