In a survey conducted in May 2023, 41 percent of respondents in India claimed their matter related to financial fraud was still pending. 18 percent stated that they filed a complaint with the platform and got the money back. As per the Reserve Bank of India's banking report a total of 5,406 fraud cases were reported in the first half of financial year 2023.
