Gen Z shoppers likely to buy directly from social media in the U.S. 2022, by platform
In 2022, almost three-quarters (73 percent) of surveyed Gen Z consumers in the United States said they were likely to purchase a product directly from Instagram, making it the generation's most popular social media platform for online shopping. Youtube and TikTok were not far behind, each with 71 percent of respondents. Of the other social media platforms listed, LinkedIn was the least popular for online shopping, mentioned by 42 percent of Gen Z consumers.
