According to a survey on luxury goods purchases in January 2023, around 89 percent of Hong Kong consumers mentioned that it is important or very important for them to be a part of luxury brands' loyalty programs. Only 11 percent of respondents considered joining the loyalty program unnecessary.

Original question: When you purchase luxury products, how important do you think it is to be a member of a loyalty program?
The survey was conducted among respondents who were:
42 percent male and 58 percent female;
Eight percent below 25 years old, 40 percent between 26 and 35 years old, 26 percent between 36 and 45 years old, and 26 percent aged 46 years or above.
36 percent from New Territories, 31 percent from Kowloon, and 33 percent from Hong Kong Island.
The annual average household income among the respondents was 997,360 Hong Kong dollar. One Hong Kong dollar equals 0.13 U.S. dollars and 0.11 euros (as of September 2020).
The average age of the respondents was 38.1 years old.
