The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill (BIB) was signed into law in 2021 as part of Joe Biden's Build Back Better plan - which was ultimately split into separate bills. The BIB looks to make heavy investments in transportation, energy, and water infrastructure, as well as expanding broadband access to rural America and its territories. Some states, such as Alabama, will spend most of its allocated funding - 82.13 percent - on transportation infrastructure. While Montana will spend 66.14 percent on climate, energy, and environmental infrastructure.
