As of 2023, the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) were the cricket stadiums to have played host to the most men's Ashes Test matches, with 52 and 50 Tests, respectively. Meanwhile, Lord's, known otherwise as the "Home of Cricket", and the Kennington Oval had hosted the third-highest number of Ashes tests overall and the most Ashes tests among cricket grounds in England with 37 matches each. On the other end of the scale are stadiums such as the Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Tasmania, which was only used once as a venue in an Ashes series, and Cardiff's Sophia Gardens, which hosted the only two Ashes test matches played outside of England and Australia.
