Global titanium sponge production share 2021, by country

In 2021, China was the top producing country of titanium sponge, accounting for a 57 percent share of the global output. Japan was in a distant second-place that year, having produced a 17 percent share of the global titanium sponge.

Converted into titanium sponge production volume, China's and Japan's production volumes amounted to 120,000 metric tons and 35,000 metric tons, respectively, that year.
