In 2022, over 25 percent of the mobile apps that iOS users worldwide downloaded were games. Approximately eight percent of all downloaded apps via the Apple App Store were utility apps, while entertainment apps were 6.7 percent of the total. Social networking apps represented around 5.3 percent of the total global downloads for the year.
