A 2021 survey of American high school students found that, of students who were sexually active, around 51.8 percent of them used a condom during their last sexual intercourse. The prevalence of condom usage was higher among white students, at 54.6 percent.

The 2021 YRBS sampling frame consisted of all regular public schools (including charter schools), parochial schools, and other private schools with students in at least one of grades 9–12 in the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
Data are among students who were currently sexually active.
