As of 2023, the Spanish population appears to have more confidence in the institutions of the European Union than in the national institutions. However, it is the Spanish army that generates the most trust among Spaniards by getting 6.2 points out of ten. The Catholic Church is the institution which the Spanish people trust the least, obtaining only 3.4 points out of ten.
