Renewable energy sources accounted for the largest electricity capacity in Finland as of 2023. Namely, wind energy led the ranking with 6.96 gigawatts, followed by hydropower. Despite being the main electricity source in Finland, wind energy capacity was around 19 percent of the energy production share.
