According to a recent survey, the Asia-Pacific region holds the largest share of women working in the photovoltaic industry, where they represented 40% of the workforce in 2021. Asia and the Pacific was closely followed by Africa, region where women represented 38% of the solar PV personnel. From all the regions of the world, Europe and North America constituted the smallest share of women in the solar PV sector, where they accounted for 27% of the workforce.
