Total refugee population in Guyana 2010-2023

The number of refugees residing in Guyana increased by 15 refugees (+125 percent) compared to the previous year. The year 2023 therefore marks a significant change in the number of refugees residing compared to the previous year.
Refugee population includes people who are outside of their country of origin for reasons of feared persecution, conflict, generalized violence, or other circumstances that have seriously disturbed public order and, therefore, require international protection. Country or territory of asylum is the country or territory where an asylum claim was filed and granted.
