According to a Global Youth Tobacco survey conducted by IIPS in 2019 stated that the majority of high school students bought bidi from stores in India. In comparison, about 28 percent of students bought bidi from paan shopsshops. Bidi is an inexpensive cigarette made from unprocessed tobacco rolled in leaves.
