The Producer Price Index (PPI) measures the variation that occurs over time in the prices domestic producers receive for their goods and services. According to the data, coffee roasting and grinding in Brazil had the highest change in monthly PPI in January 2022 when the value grew by 76.1 percent as compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year. A similar high growth in the PPI was observed throughout the whole of the first quarter of 2022. More recently, in April 2023, the PPI of coffee roasting and grinding in the country displayed a downward trend, with a nine percent decline compared to the same month of the previous year.
