In 2022, the volume of road freight amounted to over 126 million metric tons. This represents an increase of 11 percent in the goods transportation flow compared to the previous year. Over the period given, the volume of road freight followed a gradual upward trend, reaching its peak at around 155.3 million metric tons in 2019. However, the coronavirus pandemic caused a substantial decline in road transportation the following year.
