The number of countries in Europe with over 100 passported open banking third party provider (TPP) registrations rocketed between the third quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2023. While in the third quarter of 2021, there was no European country with so many passported TPPs, by the end of 2022, 28 countries had over 100 registrations. In the first quarter of 2023, Italy and Spain had the highest number of passported TPPs in Europe.
