In 2023, the leading risks to the European hotel industry were rising costs and input inflation, with 89 percent of survey respondents (senior figures from the hospitality industry) saying so, showing growth over the previous year. Meanwhile, a rise in interest rates posed the second highest risk among respondents in 2023, with 87 percent stating this was the case.
