In 2019, Basal cell carcinoma was the most common cancer diagnosed in women from ages 80 years and above with 994 diagnoses recorded, which contributed approximately 15 percent to the total number of Basal cell carcinoma cancer diagnoses in females. Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin followed with 807 reports in the same year. However, the amount of breast cancer diagnoses significantly decreased by almost 60 percent from 1,573 cases reported in the 70 to 79 year age group.
