In 2019, Basal cell carcinoma was the most common cancer diagnosed in women between the ages of 70 and 79 years old with 1,676 diagnoses, which contributed approximately 24 percent to the total number of Basal cell carcinoma cancer diagnoses in females. Breast cancer followed with 1,573 reports in the same year cancer. When compared to the amount of breast cancer diagnoses in the 60 to 69 year age group, this presents a significant decrease.
