Quality of roads in Egypt 2011-2019
In 2019, Egypt scored 5.1 in the road quality index, according to business executives' perceptions. This was higher than the previous year when the country scored 4.5. Over the observed period, business executives' perceptions of road quality improved starting in 2013. The index gives countries ratings from 1 (lowest) to 7 (highest) regarding road condition and extensiveness. Furthermore, the country ranked the second highest in Africa and 45th of 140 countries in 2019.
