According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, around 19 percent of responding video game developers and publishers stated that they planned to implement virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) technologies in their games. This was the most common web 3.0 technology being planned for video games, followed by metaverse and artificial intelligence (AI). Overall however, the majority of companies, at about 71 percent, were currently not planning on introducing any such technologies.
