A total area of over 429,100 hectares was affected by wildfires in Chile between July 2022 and June 2023. The state of Biobío had the largest surface struck by forest fires that season, with nearly 181,800 hectares. This was followed by La Araucanía, at around 116,700 hectares. Both Chilean states had the highest number of wildfires in 2022-2023.
