Criteria for selecting a mortgage provider in Czechia 2021-2023
The importance of interest rate for mortgage applicants in Czechia grew in the observed period. While in 2021, only 32 percent chose their mortgage provider according to interest rate, this figure increased to 46 percent in 2023. Many other criteria such as annual percentage rate or the amount of monthly installments also became more important. On the other hand, criteria such as the recommendations of a financial advisor lost on importance for mortgage applicants.
