In a 2022 survey conducted in Sydney, Australia, close to 40 percent of gay and bisexual male respondents said they had used recreational drug amyl nitrite (poppers) in the six months preceding the survey. Close to 30 percent had used cannabis, and almost one-fifth had used Viagra in the six months preceding the survey.
