In 2022, of all South Korean provinces, Jeonnam generated the most energy from solar power, at around 21.2 thousand gigawatt hours. It was followed by Jeonbuk with around 18 thousand GWh, Chungnam with around 12.4 thousand GWh, and Gyeongbuk with around 11.7 thousand GWh of energy generated in 2022.
