In 2022, Tesla was the best-selling battery-electric vehicle car brand in Portugal. During the first eleven months of that year, some 1,400 Model Y were sold in the country, with the Model 3 second in the ranking at some 789 sales. BMW—the third best-selling BEV brand—completed the top three, selling 745 of its i4 model in Portugal between January and November 2022.
