When asked which measures would provide the greatest benefit for edge security, nearly 39 percent of respondents mentioned firewalls at the network edge. In addition, although roughly 30 percent of respondents considered intrusion/threat detection to be a measure that would provide significant cost benefit, almost 16 percent thought that it would not be worth deploying. Overall, only five percent of respondents viewed Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation as a beneficial security measure, while nearly 11 percent saw it as not worth deploying.
