Global investments in offshore wind energy technologies reached roughly 33.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. Investment in offshore wind was almost five times larger in 2022 than in 2013. However, the last two years saw a decrease in the amount invested in offshore technologies. Investments peaked in 2020 at over 40 billion U.S. dollars.
