In 2021, the ten mentioned enterprises were responsible for 22 percent of all advertising activities in Portugal. Modelo Continente was the most relevant advertiser in the country, accounting for 15 percent of the leading advertisers' investments.
In 2022, Modelo Continente and NOS were the main advertisers in the country, responsible for 13 percent each of the leading advertisers' investments. Altice followed with 12 percent.
Leading advertisers' share in total advertising investments in Portugal from 2021 to 2022
The mentioned enterprises were responsible for 22 percent of all advertising in Portugal in 2021 and 23 percent in 2022, while the remaining shares of advertising investments were led by other companies. The present study analyses the investment share of each of the ten main advertisers for each year.
