Incidences of cancer in South Africa 2019, by gender and age
As of 2019, the incidences of diagnosed cancers in South Africa peaked between the age range of 65 to 69 years in males with 6,112 cases. However, for females, the age range from 60-64 had the highest amount of cancer incidences with 4,531. It is evident that from the 25-29 year age group onwards, the probability of being diagnosed with cancer increased significantly for both genders.
