In 2021, China accounted for roughly 61 percent of the global manufacturing capacity of blades for onshore wind turbines. The Asian county was also the leading manufacturer of towers and nacelles for onshore wind, with roughly 55 and 62 percent of the global capacity, respectively. Europe was the second largest manufacturer worldwide, with a share of 18 percent of the onshore blades manufactured in 2021.
