In 2021, China accounted for almost 85 percent of the global manufacturing capacity of blades for offshore wind turbines. The Asian county was also the leading manufacturer of towers and nacelles for offshore wind, with roughly 73 and 53 percent of the global capacity, respectively. Europe was the second largest manufacturer worldwide, with a share of 41 percent of the offshore wind towers manufactured in 2021.
