Foreign visitor number to Deoksugung Palace South Korea 2012-2023
There have been around 302 thousand foreign visitors to South Korea's Deoksugung Palace in 2023. This was an increase of almost twice the amount of the previous year.
Deoksugung Palace is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" in Seoul, having temporarily served as a royal palace and residence during the Joseon Dynasty, which governed the Korean Peninsula from 1392 to 1897. Afterwards, it had been used by the Korean Emperor Gojong. Its grounds also include Western-style buildings, one of which serves as a location for the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
