Household products were the most common product categories due to which consumers visited a different store in case of product shortages, as revealed in a survey conducted in August 2023 in Japan. While 36 percent of respondents visited a different store or website to buy a household product that was out of stock, only 24 percent were willing to remain at the same store and buy an alternative brand or product.
